Product Review: Sennheiser HD-280 Pro Headphones PDF Print E-mail
Written by Kelly Rush

For my birthday (which is rapidly approaching), my parents asked what I would like for my birthday present. This is honestly the first time that I've never really had any ideas for what I wanted for my birthday. I usually have something larger that I'm building towards, like a guitar , TV , or HTPC , but this year, I really didn't have anything. I thought about trying to pool resources to get an XBox 360, but I thought about it, and I really don't need one after putting together my HTPC. So, I had to sort of think outside of the box for what I had been needing/wanting for a long time.

Here are some quick phone pictures of my third-generation attempt at pizza (the first two generations were not pictured, the first being some crappy pre-packaged crust, the second using junky bagged/shredded cheese).

The title of this post is in reference to this article:

Paramount Denies Report It Will Drop Toshiba's HD DVD (Update2)

I'd like to applaud Paramount and Universal for sticking to their guns on the whole HD-DVD vs. Blu-Ray issue. I just received an HD-DVD player (the Toshiba HD-A3, which is really nice) for Christmas. As long as Paramount and Universal stick to the HD-DVD format, I will make a pledge to them: I will only solicit films and other content that is produced from them, and not the other studios that have colluded with Sony and Blu-Ray.

With all of the Blu-Ray supporters now proclaiming that they have "won" (over HD-DVD), I thought it only appropriate to come up with an idea for a cool new t-shirt they can proudly wear while out and about.

Homemade Asian Dinner! PDF Print E-mail
Written by Kelly Rush
Monday, 07 January 2008

We've been playing around with trying to make some decent Asian dinners the last few months. This one turned out really well, in my opinion. The rice was pretty close to what you would get at your typical Asian restaurant (yes, I know, probably nowhere near what you would find in the country of origin, but oh well), and the stir-fry was very close too! The chicken was sliced chicken breast, tossed in corn starch, and then tossed again in a mixture of soy sauce, garlic powder, ginger, white pepper, onion salt, and regular salt. Then it was pan-fried with sesame oil for about 10 minutes (mixing the steamed vegetables in for the last few minutes).
