Hey, thanks for stopping by my website! So, you want to find out a bit more about me? Fair enough, it's your time. For starters, I was born in Georgia, but after a few unmemorable stops in various locations (mostly due to the fact that I was only a few years old), I landed in Haslett , MI, which is about 10 minutes east of East Lansing. I can't say enough good things about Haslett; it was a great little community, and the schools were, all and all, just great. I had a lot of great friends there, had a lot of fun in all my extra-curricular activities, and even met my wife! | | | I try to tie the end of each section of my life with the beginning of the next. My senior year at Haslett, I was lucky enough to take a media production class (instructed by the fantastic Brian Town) at the high school's television station . This is where I had my first encounter with real video production, and once I got into it, I was hooked. After I graduated from Haslett High School, I went on to Michigan State University where I majored in and graduated with a B.A. in Telecommunications (with a cognate in Business). I took some interesting classes there, and received a pretty good, overall education in the telecommunications industry. | | My senior year of college, I was fortunate enough to get an internship back at my old high school, at the television station there. More than anything, this probably provided me with my most important period for video production, because I had the chance to do just about anything you can encounter in the world of video production, including studio design and direction, camera control, special effects, non-linear editing, etc. I made some great little pieces during this time (some of which can be found in my portfolio section), and the experience really helped me out in my later career. | | After college I got married and had some time off to figure out what I was going to do. I ultimately landed back in the Lansing area, working for a software company. While I initially started in tech support (which provided me with some really keen insights to how users use our products), I have since been lucky enough to move on to video production at the company, which if you know me at all is the absolutely perfect place for me to be (a good bridge between my love of video production, and my love of computers). All in all, I couldn't be happier. | So that's where I'm at currently. As major things happen, I'll try to update this section accordingly. Thanks for sticking with my long-winded recap of my life. | HEXYDES [dot] COM History Here are some screenshots of previous versions of the website, dating back to (I think) as early as 1997.
